Following the destruction of several bridges during the catastrophic floods across Cumbria in November 2009 we were part of the
award-winning team
tasked with reuniting the Workington community through emergency procurement, design and delivery of the project in just 10 weeks.

Working closely with the client, principal designer and contractor we undertook in depth analysis of different solutions and recommended a bridge type based upon technical performance and cost.

Completed with the full exposure of national media attention and so inevitably required high levels of programme and technical certainty.

Finalist in “Geotechnical or Geoenvironmental UK project up to £1m”
